How much customization goes into my site? I don’t want my site to look like a template.
We pride ourselves on creating the best possible site for your business. For a example of the same framework customized for two different businesses, take a look at http://www.familyedservices.com/ and http://www.luckydogseattle.com/ – both from the Jeweled framework. Lucky Dog uses a large slider to show recent pictures of some of their dogs, plus custom icons to explain their products. We also helped them set up a live webcam and created PDFs to digitize their process. For Family Education Services, we created a custom slider to show off Sarah’s core services.
We won’t rest until you’re satisfied with your design.
I’ve got some special needs for my site. Can you guys handle that?
Probably – ask and we’ll figure it out. Some of our sites run event calendars, media libraries, webcam feeds, price quote calculators, private member logins, and more. We didn’t charge for any of those extras, and if possible we won’t charge for your extra features either. We’re committed to building full, complete websites without nickle and diming you to death.
What if I need a more complex site? Do you do custom designs as well?
Of course! Our sister company, Tree Number Two, has been developing custom sites for years. They’re the same design team that continues to create Design Frameworks for Brevica, so you can get the same high quality, marketing-focused design on a much larger scale. Send us an email at info@brevica.com to talk with a project manager about your site.
Do I have to sign a long-term contract?
No. Brevica sites are pay-as-you-go, with no long term contract on your part. You simply pay month-to-month. If you cancel, you’ll still be billed for the current month, but there’s no obligation to pay after that.
Are there any hidden fees?
Absolutely not. All of the hosting, domain registration, CMS costs, and other fees are handled by Brevica for free. (If you ever decide that Brevica’s not right for you, we’ll transfer the domain name over to your company, or you can purchase it yourself if that’s more comfortable for you.) We’ll never charge you more than your monthly and set-up fee. Note that if you’re signing up for an E-Commerce site, your credit card processor may charge third-party fees — see below for more information.
Can I maintain my site without programming skills or having to hire a web programmer?
Absolutely. All of our sites are built with a content management system that will allow you to add and edit pages by yourself. You don’t need any technical knowledge whatsoever to maintain your site. The system uses a simple point-and-click interface so you can edit pages as easily as writing an email or Word document.
What if I already have a website? Can I keep my .com or my content?
If you own your .com domain, then yes we can use it with your new site. We’ll help you get all of that transferred over.
How will I know if my site is attracting customers?
All Brevica sites have Google Analytics built in, which lets you easily track incoming visitors to your site. Not only will you be able to see how many people are coming in, you’ll also see useful information such as how long they stay at your site, how they’re finding you, and so on. Using Google Analytics is an excellent way to see how much value you’re getting out of your site.
How do I pay for my site?
We take any major credit card for both the initial setup fee and the monthly subscription afterwards.
Why does the credit card processor for my e-commerce site charge additional fees?
Your credit card processor (also known as a “gateway merchant”) is a third-party company that secures funds from a customer’s credit card and deposits in your bank account. Our default processor is PayPal and Northern Payment Systems, and though we’ll help you get set up, you’re responsible for the fees. PayPal currently charges 2.9% + $0.30 for every transaction. If you’ve got any questions, please visit PayPal or your project manager. If you’re already accepting credit cards, chances are you’ve already got a gateway merchant – contact your project manager to see if it’s compatible with your e-commerce site.
Can I run a Brevica website on my own server?
No. Brevica sites are specially built to run on our server configuration, which comes included in your monthly price.
How long does it take to create my site?
After you’ve finished your marketing plan with your project manager, they’ll be able to estimate the development time a little better based on a few factors. Most Brevica sites take about four to six weeks to complete.
